Welcome to the Humble Beginnings of 9enteractive.com

"This isn't just a website… It's a sanctuary, a place to find peace, a library, a reference point of information about our culture, a record of growth, a journey through the realms of creativity and a place for stories that deserve to outlive trends."

Viewers throughout the four corners of Earth, thank you for being here to participate in the humble beginnings of 9enteractive.com.

I'll start with an introduction.

My name as a writer is: Λ®i$-†h؆ Σl (Pronounced: Aristot-El).

I'd like to share some history on the origins of this journey (you'll hopefully join in on).

The Origin

Before this space turned into an online magazine, it was a music production website created by a self-produced rapper with multimedia skillsets.

However, after a series of overly traumatic life experiences (highlighted by a failed record deal), I took time to recalibrate and figure out which direction to take my writings.

I questioned…

What do I truly desire? To be rich and famous or to share perspective?

After years of observing celebrity experiences, it became clear not to seek what comes with navigating that realm.

However, I continued to crave involvement with music (on some level).

But in what capacity?

The Breaking Point

A day came when I visited one of my favorite websites and it kept crashing because of less-than-ideal design and spam ads. Though I've been going to the site for years on end, this particular visit sent me over the edge.

There was an article I really wanted to read and whenever I clicked on the page link, it just wouldn't load. I kept refreshing until ultimately giving up and blocking the site altogether.

I came to the conclusion that my time was being wasted on a platform that seemed to care more about ad revenue than giving its readers a meaningful experience.

It was at that moment I realized the energy would be better spent building a platform of my own, instead of investing/wasting time on someone else's.

The Blueprint

Flip-flopping between whether I should proceed with a music production platform or a magazine lasted several months before the final decision was made.

Now came the questions of what the blueprint and lifeblood of the site should look and feel like. After doing some research… I decided to chronicle my personal journey in music, along with events and matters that had significant meaning (to me).

Being a true Hip-Hop fan, I figured my personal observations and opinions had 'some' level of credibility. In theory, this would work well, as other Hip-Hoppers should be able to relate and perhaps offer some value of their own.

9enteractive isn't designed for just the casual Hip-Hop consumer. It's built for the lifelong Hip-Hop loyalists (who really live and breathe this culture). It's created to not only push the next generation of talent but also remember the ancestors and founders that gave us a lane to create wealth and better lives for our people and families...

If gossip and foolery is what you crave, this isn't the space for that.

There are plenty of other spaces that can accommodate those ideals (no shade). This space harvests and projects a sense of community, creativity, positivity and having the responsibility of being custodians and protectors of Hip-Hop.

So… in keeping up with the spirit of what started this magazine, I created a core checklist (to determine how things will proceed).

What to Expect

No Spamming – Revenue/Greed will NEVER compromise the integrity of site experience.

Authenticity – Published content will ALWAYS take on the form of Hip-Hop purist origins.

Professionalism – Articles will be objectively produced and avoid worthless trends (by embodying the writer's genuine observations and opinions).

Cultural Value – This platform is designed to help push the culture forward and refrain from giving negativity another conduit of destruction by offering educational cultural commentary.

Journalism – An archive of sorts that chronicles key figures, events, moments, future prospects/projections in Hip-Hop and our own movement's musical journey.

Expansion – The infant stages of 9enteractive.com will have limited features (mostly articles). However, as we grow (over time) there will be expanded components such as videos, audio, interviews, guest writers, memberships, exclusive offers and other interactive edutainment.

Audience Input – Though the final say will ALWAYS be in the hands of this platform's creator, your "well-informed/educated" suggestions will be looked at and possibly considered to enhance user experience. So don't be shy about sharing some of your thoughts on how the site can be improved but also be aware there is only so much that can be done with limited staffing.

Quality Over Quantity – There will be an emphasis placed on quality material in all forms. Having a bloated website with a bunch of worthless posts serves no one well. Content may not be posted everyday but it will be posted on a consistent schedule. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and sometimes on weekends.

The Mission

In closing… (keep in mind) this platform was not made with the intent of being a disruptor but being an answer to disposable culture, algorithms controlling music discovery, artists being reduced to content creation (instead of focusing on their craft) and talent disappearing because they lack coverage or opportunities to be seen and heard.

This isn't just a website… It's a sanctuary, a place to find peace, a library, a reference point of information about our culture, a record of growth, a journey through the realms of creativity and a place for stories that deserve to outlive trends.

Hip-Hop has ALWAYS been more than music:

Memory
Vibration
Identity
Influence
Survival
Ambition
Documentation of moments in time

So, we'll spotlight overlooked artists, share behind-the-scenes looks into creative processes, curate meaningful content, publish stories with long-term value and document our own journey (while growing a new Hip-Hop community), together.
